Job summary

Honeywell is seeking a Field Service Engineer for our Gas Detection & Life Safety unit in Canton, MA. You will troubleshoot, service and optimize customer facilities with a focus on reliability and safety.

The role reports to the Field Service Supervisor and offers a hybrid work arrangement from the Canton site, with opportunities to travel for service and installation. A strong technical background is required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years in field service engineering or a related technical role.
  • Strong technical knowledge in electronics and pneumatics.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
  • Experience with PLCs, SCADA and industrial control systems.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues for customers promptly.
  • Maintain customer equipment and create maintenance plans.
  • Provide technical support for gas detection solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement solutions.
  • Conduct training sessions for customers and field engineers.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and recommend improvements.

Job description

As aField Service Engineer Ihere at Honeywell, you will have the opportunity to provide essential technical support and expertise to our customers in the Gas Detection & Life Safety business unit. You will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, ensuring the successful implementation of our solutions, and contributing to customer satisfaction.

You will report directly to our Field Service Supervisorand you’ll work out of our Canton, MA location on a hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the efficiency and productivity of our customers' operations by delivering exceptional technical support and service at their facilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues for our customers in a timely manner.
  • Maintain customer equipment at customer facilities, while also creating maintenance plans.
  • Provide technical support and expertise for our gas detection solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of our solutions.
  • Conduct training sessions for customers and field service engineers.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements and provide recommendations for improvement.
Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in field service engineering or a related technical role.
  • Strong technical knowledge and expertise in electronics, pneumatics, etc.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
  • Experience with relevant tools and technologies such as PLCs, SCADA systems, and industrial control systems.
  • Valid driver’s license.

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
  • Military experience.
  • Experience in customer-facing roles and technical support.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues

  • Passport, for possible international travel.
  • General knowledge of SAP, Salesforce and Microsoft Windows.

The salary range for this position is ($71,100.00 - $88,800.00). Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
