Qualifications

Overview

In this field based role, you will help install, commission, test, troubleshoot, and maintain high voltage GIS equipment. You will work directly with customers, field crews, and subcontractors to complete projects safely and keep critical power systems reliable.

• Ability to read and interpret contracts, specifications, and technical drawings.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and test equipment software.
• A technical diploma or degree in electrical or mechanical engineering is preferred. Relevant electrical or industrial mechanic training and experience will also be considered.
• Ability to travel up to 80%, potentially including assignments in Canada and Mexico.
• A valid U.S. driver’s license and fluency in English.
• Authorization to work for Shermco in the United States.
