Wonik IPS in New York is hiring a Field Service Engineer to support our client at the NY Office. The role will focus on on-site semiconductor tool installations and sticky troubleshooting, with a 3–4 month intensive training period including travel to sites alongside the management team.

The position requires 1+ year in semiconductors, strong technical skills with CVD/PECVD/ALD tools (or related equipment), and willingness to work overtime and weekends in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in an Engineering-related field.
• Minimum 1+ years of experience in the semiconductor industry.
• Experience with CVD/PECVD/ALD tools preferred; strong experience with PCS pumps, Sub-Fab, and other semiconductor peripheral equipment is highly acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Perform extensive on-site new equipment setups, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs for semiconductor tools.
• Undergo a rigorous 3-4 month initial hands-on training phase with management and colleagues on tool installations.
• Support heavy operational demands, including frequent overtime and weekend work in a fast-paced environment.
• Manage equipment installation projects, ensuring strict compliance with EHS safety standards.
• Conduct failure analysis and collaborate with headquarters for technical solutions.
• Serve as the primary technical contact, managing customer meetings and feedback.

We are hiring a skilled Field Service Engineer to support our client, Wonik IPS, at their NY Office. Due to the rapid growth of the semiconductor market, this role will be heavily focused on continuous new equipment setups. We are looking for a dedicated professional with a strong foundation in semiconductor equipment to join our team. Please note that the first 3-4 months will consist of an intensive, hands-on training period where you will be traveling to sites and working directly alongside the management team.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications & Requirements

• Associate degree or higher in an Engineering-related field.
• Minimum 1+ years of experience in the semiconductor industry.
• While experience with main CVD/PECVD/ALD tools is preferred, strong experience with PCS pumps, Sub-Fab, and other semiconductor peripheral equipment is highly acceptable.
• Exceptional physical stamina and capability to handle the rigorous demands of continuous tool setups and extended working hours.
• [Preferred] Experience working at GlobalFoundries (GF).
• [Preferred] Bilingual proficiency in English and Korean is a plus.
• Ability to travel (20%+) and flexibility to support night/weekend calls as required.
