Job summary

GEA Group is seeking a Field Service Engineer specializing in filling and blow molding to support installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of aseptic blow molders and filling equipment across North America, with occasional international travel.

This hands-on, customer-facing role requires a strong mechanical background, leadership of small field teams, and direct customer interaction to ensure equipment performance and service quality.

Qualifications

• 10+ years hands-on with blow molders or related equipment.
• Mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Experience installing and servicing filling and blow molding equipment.
• Able to read mechanical drawings, P&IDs, pneumatics, and equipment manuals.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel up to 80%.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, inspect, repair, test, and optimize blow molding, beverage, and liquid filling equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, process, electrical, and equipment issues.
• Perform equipment modifications, upgrades, retrofits, rebuilds, and machine restarts.
• Support new equipment installations from installation through start-up.
• Conduct scheduled service activities including audits and preventive maintenance.
• Provide remote troubleshooting and Help Desk support when needed.
• Create field service reports, inspection reports, and SOPs.
• Train customers on operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Identify upgrades and optimization opportunities for equipment.
