Your Impact

The Field Service Engineer will support and guide customers in successfully applying, installing, monitoring, testing, and repairing condition monitoring systems. They will use various monitoring technologies along with test and measurement products to deliver high-quality results.

Iris Power (a division of Qualitrol Corp.) is a market leader in developing condition-based monitoring systems for high-voltage rotating machines. Our products are used mainly in the utilities industry but also in other sectors that use high voltage equipment. There is a broad monitoring product portfolio at Qualitrol, providing learning opportunities and exposure to different industries, customers, and locations.

You will be a key member of our international Field Service team, delivering services to our critical infrastructure customers, including on-site advisory, software and hardware commissioning, and test data analysis.

Here’s where you’ll demonstrate your proficiencies:

  • Collect test data at customers’ sites
  • Supervise equipment installations
  • Supervise commissioning of continuous monitoring instrument systems
  • Lead customer training and seminars
  • Provide technical support to customers and other departments
  • Write data analysis and service reports
  • Significant travel (70%)
Skills & Experience

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • College or university graduate in Electrical Engineering
  • Above-average proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; basic knowledge of computer networking
  • Practical work experience in power industries, preferably with exposure to high-voltage equipment and rotating machines; utilities industry experience is a plus
  • Experience working with various meters and digital oscilloscopes
  • Strong ability to deliver training to customers in classroom and hands-on settings
  • International driver’s license and availability to travel; position is remote and requires up to 70% travel
  • Experience with high voltage (>3kV) test equipment and knowledge of communication protocols such as Modbus is preferred

Pay Range

The salary range for this position (in local currency) is 56,900.00 - 105,700.00
