Job summary

ASML in the Scranton area is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, service, and optimize PAS5500 systems on-site for customers.

You will analyze diagnostics, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, plan service activities, and mentor newer engineers while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Travel up to 50% domestically/internationally; must be work authorized; base pay range is $37-51 per hour with benefits.

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of experience in the semiconductor or high-tech equipment industry.
  • Experience with data analysis tools and standard business software (spreadsheets, presentations, documentation tools).
  • Familiarity with electromechanical systems, diagnostics, and maintenance processes.

Introduction to the Job

As a Field Service Engineer, you play a direct role in keeping advanced semiconductor systems running at peak performance. Your work enables the production of microchips that power everyday technologies.

At ASML, you will support customers by installing, maintaining, and improving complex equipment on-site. You will help transfer knowledge and build strong partnerships with customers while contributing to continuous innovation.

In this Field Service Engineer role, you will work independently while collaborating with teams to deliver reliable results and improve system performance. This position primarily focuses on the service of the ASML PAS5500 install base.

Role and Responsibilities
  • As a Field Service Engineer, you manage maintenance and troubleshooting activities while working closely with customers and internal experts. You take ownership of issues and help drive timely, effective solutions.
  • Analyze equipment issues by gathering and interpreting diagnostic data.

Education and Experience

Other information
  • This position covers a customer near Scranton PA, but may include occasional travel to NY and NJ customers.
  • Position requires up to 50% travel both domestic and international.
  • Routinely required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach and stretch.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Occasionally required to move around the campus and must be willing to work in a clean room environment for the entire duration of the shift, wearing coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses, and gloves.
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including nights or weekends when needed.
  • You must be work authorized in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.
  • The current base annual hourly range for this role is currently: $37-51.
  • Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members.

  • Employees will also receive eight (8) hours of vacation leave every month and (13) paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
