Locations:

  • Columbus, OH
  • Sterling, VA
  • Afton, TX

Veterans encouraged to apply.

If you maintained power systems, electronics, or critical equipment in the service, your training translates directly to this work. We value the discipline, troubleshooting instinct, and ownership you bring, and we will fill the gaps on our specific systems. Strong fit for former ETs, EMs, power generation, avionics, fire control, nuclear, and electronics maintenance specialists, as well as Seabees and combat engineers.

Who We Are

MPI Energy is a global leader in battery technologies, specifically valve‑regulated lead‑acid (VRLA) and lithium‑iron‑phosphate (LFP) batteries. Headquartered in Grand Prairie, Texas, we deliver backup power and energy‑storage solutions across critical markets:

  • Critical Power: data centers and uninterruptible power supply (UPS) applications.
  • Reserve Power: telecom and CATV base stations, and outside‑plant sites.
  • Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS): utility‑scale and commercial & industrial solutions.

We build high‑quality, turn‑key integrated systems and modular components tailored to our customers. Our team values collaboration, innovation, and excellence, and we support every employee in contributing to a sustainable energy future.

What You Will Own
Startup & Commissioning
  • Install, start up, and commission lithium battery systems for data center and energy storage applications.
  • Verify system configuration, connections, and operational readiness, then run functional testing to confirm performance requirements are met.
Maintenance & Service
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on battery systems and associated equipment.
  • Inspect, diagnose, and service components to ensure long‑term reliability, and keep accurate service records.
  • Diagnose issues in the field, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Support repair or replacement of system components as needed.
Customer Support
  • Provide on‑site and remote technical support, communicating findings and recommendations clearly and professionally.
  • Represent MPI Energy during service visits and build strong customer relationships.
  • Work closely with engineering, operations, and fellow technicians to deliver efficient service.
  • Help improve our service processes and procedures over time.

  • Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs.
  • Work in industrial, data center, or outdoor environments as needed.
