Job summary

TRUMPF Inc. in the United States is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, troubleshoot, maintain and repair TRUMPF CNC machines while building strong customer relationships. Travel 100% nationwide, including overnight stays and occasional weekend travel.

You will work with customers and service teams, use diagnostic tools, read manuals, install/align equipment, and train customers onsite. An engineering-related degree and valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• Associates program or technical school degree in Engineering principles or equivalent.
• Experience with computer software, file management, electronics and digital circuits.
• Must have a clean, valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Work with customers and machines to ensure equipment operates within tolerance.
• Provide diagnostic feedback to Product Support and engineering teams.
• Use diagnostic tools and manuals to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
• Assemble, install, align, and replace parts for machines and maintain operation.
• Report technical conditions clearly to PSG and management.
• Provide onsite training to customers on operation and repair.
• Submit organized service reports for each mission.

This position is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, maintenance and repairing TRUMPF CNC machines while building and developing strong customer relationships.

Duties & Responsibilities For Field Service Engineer

• Work closely with customers and machines to ensure equipment operates within expected tolerance
• Work carefully with the Product Support for technical assistance and provide them with diagnostic feedback
• Use visual clues, computer programs, diagnostic tools to further diagnose machine difficulties
• Read and utilize company repair manuals and work orders for assistance with repairs, if needed offer suggestions for adjusting/updating existing technical documentation
• Assemble, install, align equipment, clean, replace or install parts to maintain smooth operation of machinery and equipment
• Accurately report technical conditions and information of machines to PSG and management
• Interface with cross functional work teams such as applications, sales, engineering, production, etc.
• Provide onsite training to customers for operation and/or repair of machines
• Submit organized and helpful service reports for each repair mission

Experience & Education For Field Service Engineer

• Associates program or technical school degree in Engineering principles or a suitable combination of education and work experience
• Experience in computer software, file management, electronics, digital circuits, wiring, mechanics and hydraulics is helpful
• Must have and maintain a clean and valid driver's license and record

Pay Range: $27.94 - $44.24
