Job summary

BCI Electrical is growing and looking for a dependable, experienced Service Truck Driver / Electrician to join our team. The role involves responding to commercial service calls, diagnosing electrical problems, and completing repairs and installations in the Kansas City Metro area and surrounding Northeast Kansas.

The position requires self-motivation, dependability, organization, and the ability to work independently while representing BCI in the field.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial electrical experience
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and electrical drawings
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple service calls
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Knowledge of commercial electrical systems

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain a company electrical service truck
• Respond to commercial electrical service calls
• Troubleshoot electrical systems and diagnose problems
• Perform electrical repairs, maintenance, and installations
• Install and repair components, wiring, panels, lighting, and devices
• Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
• Identify parts and materials needed to complete service work
• Communicate with customers regarding service needs and completed work
• Maintain service documentation and paperwork
• Keep the service truck stocked, clean, and organized
• Coordinate with Service Manager and other personnel
• Maintain professional appearance and attitude while representing BCI
• Follow electrical codes and BCI safety procedures
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Complete work efficiently while upholding quality workmanship
