Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Field Service Diesel Engine Technician to repair and rebuild engines at customer sites in Forest Park, GA. You will play a key role in delivering responsive service and building strong customer relationships.

You will diagnose complex engine issues, perform preventative maintenance, and complete required documentation while adhering to safety policies and quality standards. Training and career development are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Repair and rebuild engines in the field
• Develop productive customer relations and ensures prompt attention to customer needs
• Complete required documentation (work sheets, timesheets, warranty claims) either handwritten or in system
• Attend training as per skill and business requirements
• Adhere to Health, Safety & Environmental policies and report issues

Responsibilities

• Establish productive customer relations and diagnose complex repairs at customer sites
• Diagnose and complete repairs in the field using specialized tools following procedures
• Perform preventative maintenance on engines and related components in the field
• Escalate unresolved issues to product specialists or supervisor
• Coach and develop technicians and apprentices as needed
• Complete service documentation and identify additional sales opportunities
• Maintain service vehicle and tools and ensure safety compliance
