Qualifications

  • Ability to supervise field staff and coordinate resources.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures Health and Safety is the top priority according to policies.
  • Enforces safety policies; works with Health and Safety leadership to resolve issues.
  • Manages large-scale field service and emergency response projects.
  • Manages Field Service Technicians and Drivers (Class A/B).
  • Acts as on-call coordinator as needed; ensures coverage.
  • Inspects Service Center property daily for cleanliness and compliance.
  • Directs personnel to complete field service assignments and assess manpower needs.
  • Evaluates trainings and approvals before assigning staff.
  • Acts as office liaison for field personnel and assigns shifts.
  • Ensures equipment maintenance and inventory control.
  • Maintains worksheets, vehicle and equipment inspections.
  • Creates daily schedules for field work and spill team.
  • Requests service and repair of equipment; ensures returns.
  • Enforces OSHA, EPA and H&S standards; reports incidents promptly.
  • Oversees DOT logs via Samsara; tracks hours of service.
  • Adheres to EH&S guidelines and performs other duties.

Clean Harbors in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Field Service Coordinator responsible for the direction of employees and resources to perform duties associated with field service operations including tank cleaning, equipment & facility decontamination and emergency response.

Responsibilities
  • Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
  • Enforces the policies and procedures as it relates to Health & Safety. Will be measured off the district's health and safety record. Works closely with the Director of Health and Safety and VP of Site Services in resolving issues in an appropriate and timely manner;
  • Manages large scale field service and emergency response projects when directed;
  • Manages Field Service Technicians, Class A and Class B Drivers;
  • Acts as the on-call coordinator on an as needed basis;
  • Responds immediately when on-call or secures proper coverage and communicates replacement name to supervisor/manager;
  • Responsible for the inspection of the Service Center property on a daily basis to ensure the facility is clean and in compliance with federal, state or local laws, including "best in class" inspections;
  • Directs personnel in the operational procedures to complete assignments and understand manpower and equipment requirements to complete field service projects and emergency responses;
  • Evaluates approved trainings and solo approvals prior to assigning employees to projects and emergency assignments;
  • Acts as office liaison for the field service personnel in the field and has independent authority to determine who may or may not work on a given shift;
  • Ensures rolling stock equipment is properly maintained and permitted for operations;
  • Maintains proper inventory of equipment and supplies for current workload;
  • Maintains proper working order and maintenance for assigned company equipment and or vehicles;
  • Responsible for the proper completion of worksheets, vehicle inspections and equipment inspections;
  • Creates daily schedules for field service work and on call/Spill team;
  • Responsible for the inspection, requests for service and repair of equipment and material in the service center and ensures proper return of equipment on a daily basis;
  • Enforces and ensures OSHA, EPA and H&S standards or regulations are compliant;
  • Ensures the timely reporting of work-related accidents or incidents to immediate supervisor;
  • Oversee and participate in the tracking of DOT Logs (hours of service) via daily review of Samsara.
  • Observe all company environmental health and safety operating guidelines
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of Clean Harbor Field Services
  • 3+ years' experience in environmental field service operations
  • Adaptable to change and ability to streamline project work
  • Knowledge of various types of equipment
  • Proficiency in Windows based applications
  • Ability to understand issues and resolve/address strategically
  • Knowledge of Federal, state and local environmental regulations as well as Clean Harbors policies and procedures related to field operations
  • Per respirator requirements, must maintain a clean-shaven face
