Job summary

Fameccanica North America in West Chester, OH is seeking an entry-level Field Service Controls Engineer to join its automation team. This onsite, hands-on role focuses on testing, validating, troubleshooting, and supporting automated manufacturing equipment.

Initially you’ll perform equipment testing in the West Chester facility, following test procedures, documenting results, and helping ensure readiness before shipment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree, technical certification, or related training in Robotics, Mechatronics, or Industrial Automation.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and basic electrical knowledge.
• Interest in PLCs, controls, robotics, or manufacturing equipment.
• Desire to learn, grow, and build a long-term career in automation and field service.

Responsibilities

• Test and validate automated equipment, including conveyors, sensors, electrical components, and controls.
• Follow checklists and procedures to verify proper operation.
• Troubleshoot basic PLC, HMI, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical issues.
• Document testing results, service activity, and technical findings.
• Support equipment commissioning and customer requirements.
• Learn from experienced engineers and prepare for future field service duties.
• Grow toward customer-site support and installation responsibilities.
