Job summary

Instrumentation Technical Services (ITS), an ATS company, is seeking a Field Calibration Technician to travel on-site in the Westchester, PA area and calibrate a variety of test and measurement equipment. You will work with other technicians or independently, demonstrating strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Requires 2–5 years of related experience with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred AS/AAS degree in Electronics, Instrumentation, or related field.
• Proficiency with measurement and calibration techniques across mechanical and electronic instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate and maintain instrumentation/equipment autonomously and as part of a team.
• Travel on-site to calibrate a variety of test and measurement equipment.
• Adhere to OSHA guidelines and site requirements.
• Identify and document instrumentation per organizational practices.
• Maintain competence with CMMS and report quality issues promptly.

Candidate will work with other technicians on the team or may work on projects by themselves. Candidate should be a self starter and should possess good interpersonal skills. Good verbal and written communication skills and well as computer skills are a must.ResponsibilitiesPerform calibration/maintenance activities autonomously and as part of a teamMonitor and/or recognize suitability of environmental conditions during calibration activitiesMonitor and/or recognize suitability of standards used in calibrationsFollow OSHA guidelines as dictated by jobsite requirementsExercise good customer relations skillsMaintain competence working with local CMMS commensurate to working skill levelIdentify and document/catalog instrumentation pursuant to organization practicesRequirements2 – 5 years of related experience with a high school diploma or equivalent or a combination of education and experiencePrevious experience in mechanical measuring, inspection, and testing instrumentation / equipment calibrationCommercial or Military experience acceptableAbility to work 40 plus hours per week to meet customer demands.
