Atlanta Fork Lifts, Inc. in the Athens area is seeking a Field Service Apprentice Technician to troubleshoot, repair and perform scheduled maintenance on fuel-powered and electric forklifts and related equipment in customer sites.
You will work with a Service Coordinator and respond to service calls to ensure customer needs are met. The role requires basic mechanical aptitude, ability to lift up to 75 lbs, and a HS diploma or equivalent; 1 year of relevant work experience is preferred.

The Field Service Apprentice Technician will troubleshoot, repair and perform scheduled maintenance on fuel powered (I.C.) and electric forklifts as well as other related material handling equipment based on customer needs and requirements in the field.
Perform repairs on forklifts and various types of industrial equipment on-site at customer locations. Work with the Service Coordinator and respond to service calls. Communicate with the customer contact and their staff to provide their forklift and material handling needs. The Field Service Apprentice Technician is responsible for identifying larger jobs and communicating with the customer and the office staff to handle these repairs and rental needs.
1 year of relevant work experience.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Work is performed in a maintenance shop environment with potential exposure to moving mechanical parts, dust, fumes, chemicals, or solvents which require proper knowledge of safety procedures. Must have the physical ability to perform continuously with full body motion for climbing, reaching, pushing, and lifting. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. (and occasionally in excess of 75 lbs.) The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
