Job summary

InOurScope seeks a Commissioning Field Engineer to support field commissioning of a large-scale semiconductor fab in Boise, Idaho. You will collaborate with commissioning management, construction teams, and client stakeholders to drive startup, testing, and turnover of critical facility systems.

The ideal candidate has hands-on commissioning experience on mission-critical projects, strong document review skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced field environment.

Qualifications

• Experience commissioning semiconductor, mission-critical, or industrial construction projects.
• Knowledge of commissioning methodologies, startup, IST/FPT, and system turnover.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, sequences of operation, and technical docs.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency with MS Office, BlueBeam, and related software; OSHA 10 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist commissioning management in planning and coordinating startup activities to maintain project schedules.
• Understand startup requirements and sequencing for successful commissioning.
• Support QA/QC programs and ensure subcontractors comply with plans.
• Perform onsite inspections of utilities and owner-furnished equipment for readiness.
• Review construction documents and submittals to support project execution.
• Coordinate commissioning across disciplines with contractors, vendors, and client stakeholders.
• Support startup meetings and sequencing for safe, complete turnover.
• Communicate project status, risks, and commissioning progress to stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain commissioning plans, schedules, logs, and turnover docs.
• Support OAT, FPT, IST, and system turnover; drive punch items to resolution.
• Coordinate with AHJs, testing agencies, and third-party providers for compliance.
• Support owner training and closeout activities.
