Job summary

Terracon is seeking an Environmental Scientist to conduct environmental site investigations, assessments, and surveys in the San Diego area. You will sample air, water, soil, and materials to analyze risks and develop remediation strategies, design environmental protection plans, and prepare proposals and regulatory correspondence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field with 1 year of related experience, or 5 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
• Valid driver’s license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety rules and participate in pre-task planning.
• Conduct environmental site investigations and field surveys.
• Perform site visits, field observations and data collection.
• Collect and analyze samples (air, water, soil, materials).
• Draft proposals and assist with client communications on projects.
