Roto-Rooter Plumbing and Drain Service in Los Angeles, CA seeks a Field Sales Representative for Water Restoration. You will pursue sales opportunities, work with leads provided by technicians and call centers, and build relationships with residential and commercial clients.

The role offers a weekly base pay of $500 during training and commission after training (5% on weekly sales over $15,000 and 2% after $25,000, plus mileage). Flexible schedules and strong benefits accompany the position.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and clean background check.
• Excellent oral and written communication in English.
• Able to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
• Experience in outside sales is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and sell opportunities to mitigate property damage for water restoration to residential and commercial markets.
• Assess properties to determine moisture levels and need for demolition and drying.
• Follow up with existing customers to provide effective solutions.
• Provide quotes using pricing matrix and insurance guidelines and close sales.

• Extensive driving to customer locations in a timely, professional manner.
• Enter customers’ residences to deliver trustworthy service.

Water Restoration Sales Responsibilities

• The primary function of this role is to identify and sell opportunities to mitigate property damage caused by water to the residential and commercial market.
• The Sales Representative will perform assessments of property to determine moisture levels and the need for demolition and drying to acceptable levels.
• Engage in proactive follow-up communication with existing customers to deliver effective solutions for their plumbing or water-related issues.
• Leverage our established pricing matrix and/or insurance guidelines to provide competitive quotes for repair/replacement options/solutions and effectively close sales.
• Be a trusted information resource for Roto-Rooter customers.
• Leverage our established pricing matrix and/or insurance guidelines to provide competitive quotes for repair/replacement options/solutions and effectively close sales.
• Be a trusted information resource for Roto-Rooter customers.
• Collect monetary payment and move on to the next service call.
• Direct interaction with vulnerable populations such as children or elderly.
• Extensive driving to customer in a timely and professional manner.
• Entering customers’ residence providing trustworthy service while solving the problem.

Requirements

Water Restoration Sales Requirements

• A valid driver’s license and acceptable background check per company standards.
• Demonstrated exceptional focus on delivering outstanding customer service.
• Thrives in a fast-paced work environment while also being available to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
• Plumbing experience is not necessary or required however, knowledge of Water Restoration and practices is required.
• Organized self-starter with an outgoing personality
• A Working knowledge of common software programs such as Word, Excel, etc. Other Roto-Rooter specific computer programs will also be used.
• Previous experience with outside sales of in-home services is strongly desired, but all outside sales experience will be considered
• Maintains IICRC Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT) and Applied Structural Drying Technician (ASD) certification in Water Damage Restoration.
• Must be medically cleared to wear a respirator and complete a respirator fit test.
