Job summary

Superior Product Distributors, Inc. in Southington, CT seeks an Outside Sales Representative to establish, grow, and maintain customer relationships across our core operating area.

You will sell concrete accessories, site and pipe products, waterworks, and other lines, while collaborating with Sales Management and Product Managers to hit sales and profitability goals. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, construction industry experience, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in business, construction management, or related field is a plus
• Experience in the construction industry is required.
• Sales or customer service experience with strong client communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally.

Responsibilities

• Establish, maintain, market, and sell concrete accessories, site & pipe products, waterworks, special services, equipment & supplies, equipment rentals, instrumentation, landscape products, and other Superior products.
• Maintain and service assigned customers while generating new business with qualified contractors (Sales Manager approval for new accounts).
• Generate new business by building relationships with qualified contractors while maintaining professional rapport.
• Read and interpret project plans for quotes and submittals in the Eclipse ERP system.
• Review customer Sales Orders daily to ensure pricing, product availability, and profitability.
• Maintain quotes and job bids within gross profit margins.
• Promote specials or focused sales efforts and attend trade shows/meetings as required.
• Maintain accurate CRM reports and timely customer activity.
