Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a dynamic Field Safety Technician to lead hazard identification and mitigation, and to develop robust safety control programs for a world-class semiconductor facility. You will join a diverse safety team to strengthen safety culture and raise hazard awareness in a cutting-edge manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of health & safety experience in workplace safety programs, compliance, and incident management.
• Bachelor’s or Associate of Science degree preferred in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Professional safety designation (ASP, GSP, CSP, etc.) actively pursuing or holding is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate, identify and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices.
• Develop hazard control designs, methods, procedures and programs.
• Implement, administer and advise others on hazard control programs.
• Measure, audit and evaluate the effectiveness of hazard control elements.
• Evaluation of regulatory compliance associated with safety programs/policies.

Position Summary

Shift: D-shift, scheduled for 12 hour shift, Wed - Fri & alternate Saturdays (Nights)

The current base salary range for this role is between $26.00 - $33.00/hour. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.

This position may include access to controlled information or technology under U.S. export control laws. Employment may be contingent on either the applicant verifying that the applicant falls under the “U.S. Person” definition (including U.S. citizens, U.S. lawful permanent residents, and those granted U.S. asylum or refugee status) or the employer timely obtaining any necessary export license under federal law.
