Job summary

Airgas Coppell, TX seeks a Field Safety Sales Manager to lead a 4-6 person Safety Specialist team, drive large site sales growth, retain customers and attract new ones. You will manage development and productivity, uphold safety policies, and coach reps to hit quotas while coordinating with regional leadership.

The role requires on-site work with travel up to 60% in the Central Division and a track record of sales leadership in Industrial markets.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • 5+ years supervisory experience preferred with sales background in Commercial Industrial Market.
  • Ability to interact strategically with all levels of management and work in a team.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; strong sales and negotiation abilities.
  • Salesforce.com usage experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of 4-6 Safety Specialists across a geographic territory to grow safety product sales.
  • Coach, motivate, and develop associates; manage hiring and onboarding processes.
  • Develop budgets, monitor YTD performance, and ensure adherence to company policies.
  • Use Salesforce to guide the sales process from prospecting to close; coordinate with regional leadership.
  • Support marketing efforts, trade shows and customer events; manage vendor relationships.

Meet monthly to update each Associate on YTD productivity vs. Goals/Quota. Associates should always know where their Sales & Margin actual achievement is YTD and MTD vs. goals.Provide representatives with assistance in customer problem-solving including, but not limited to, resource utility, departmental issues, credit, fulfillment, pricing, etc.Build financial sales budgets based on assigned customer’s historical sales, recent quarter trends and growth expectations.
