Job summary

Staxmatic is seeking a proactive Field Safety Coordinator for 100% on-site safety leadership on commercial construction projects in Fort Worth, TX. The role emphasizes real-time oversight, inspections, and enforcement of OSHA standards to protect workers and ensure regulatory compliance.

You will drive pre-task planning, JHAs, and Site-Specific Safety Plans, investigate incidents, and support continuous safety improvements across all project phases.

Qualifications

• Experience ensuring OSHA compliance on construction sites.
• Ability to conduct routine safety inspections and audits.
• Proven track record leading incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Proficient in Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and Site-Specific Safety Plans (SSSPs).
• Experience delivering toolbox talks and safety orientations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily construction activities to ensure OSHA compliance and company policies.
• Conduct safety inspections, hazard assessments, and risk evaluations on sites.
• Identify unsafe conditions and implement corrective actions.
• Support Superintendents and crews in safe work practices.
• Lead JHA, SSHP development and safety trainings on site.
• Respond to incidents and manage injury care per protocol.
• Document inspection, incident, and training records for audits.

Position Overview

We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Field Safety Coordinator to support commercial construction safety operations and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, site-specific safety plans, and company safety policies.

This is a 100% on-site, field-based position requiring daily presence on active construction jobsites. A strong field presence is essential to provide real-time safety oversight, conduct inspections, lead training, and support continuous improvement across all phases of construction.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay: $85,000 – $100,000 per year, based on experience and fit

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor daily commercial construction jobsite activities to ensure compliance with OSHA standards, safety regulations, and company policies
• Conduct routine jobsite safety inspections, audits, hazard assessments, and risk evaluations
• Identify unsafe conditions and behaviors; recommend, implement, and track corrective actions
• Support Superintendents, Foremen, and field crews in developing safety-conscious work practices
• Assist with pre-task planning, Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), and Site-Specific Safety Plans (SSSPs)
• Respond to incidents, near misses, and injuries; coordinate injury care per company protocols
• Participate in and support incident investigations and root cause analysis
• Lead and assist with toolbox talks, safety orientations, onboarding, and site-specific safety training
• Ensure proper availability, use, and condition of PPE, safety equipment, and first aid supplies
• Participate in jobsite safety walks with internal teams, subcontractors, and external partners
• Serve as a field resource for OSHA compliance, regulatory requirements, and company safety programs
• Maintain accurate documentation including inspection reports, incident reports, training records, permits, and corrective action logs
• Collaborate with the HSE Manager and Safety Director to support continuous improvement initiatives
