Job summary

PAR Western Line Contractors, LLC (dba QUES) seeks a Field Safety Representative to lead health and safety on construction projects in the electric utility sector. You will implement site-specific and company-wide safety plans and ensure a safe environment for all workers.

Key duties include safety training, incident investigations, hazard correction, and regulatory compliance. The role requires 1–5 years of safety experience, OSHA certificates, and the ability to coordinate with subcontractors

Qualifications

  • 1–5 years of safety-related experience.
  • Preferred Certificates—Occupational Safety, Osha500, First Aid, and CPR.
  • Knowledge of federal, state and local safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures adequate safety oversight during construction operations.
  • Delivers project-specific safety training and ensures compliance with site plans and laws.
  • Documents safety violations and ensures timely corrective actions.
  • Participates in incident investigations and safety meetings.
  • Educates employees and subcontractors on regulatory and company requirements.
  • Conducts environmental, health and safety audits and reports findings.

As a Par West Line contractorField Safety Representative, you’ll be the driving force behind ensuring that every construction project is conducted in the safest environment possible. This dynamic position will have you in the heart of action, collaborating with diverse teams, managing safety protocols, and guaranteeing the health and well-being of everyone involved in the project.

With responsibility for implementing both site-specific and company-wide safety plans, your role is essential in making sure safety is a priority every step of the way. You’ll not only oversee safety, but you’ll also educate and empower employees, ensuring they understand and follow the highest safety standards. No two days are the same as you monitor ongoing construction operations and handle any hazards that come your way.

What You’ll Do
  • Ensures adequate safety oversight is always provided during construction operations
  • Ensures project-specific safety training is provided and all employees, including subcontractors, are aware of site-specific safety requirements, contractor’s site-specific plans, and required Federal, State, and local laws, rules, and regulations
  • Documents all safety violations or unsafe conditions/activities
  • Ensures adequate, appropriate, and timely actions are taken to correct hazards once identified
  • Ensures attendance and participation at project safety meetings including attendance of subcontractor safety personnel
  • Ensures all reporting is completed in a timely fashion
  • Collaborates with customers and outside agencies as required
  • Educates/trains employees in regulatory and company requirements
  • Conducts and/or participates in incident investigation
  • May accompany an injured employee for treatment and medical evaluation
  • Conducts environmental, health, and safety compliance audits to ensure compliance
  • Communicates constantly with all levels of project management and supervision as it relates to both good and bad safety practices that are observed.
  • Educates project personnel through “on-the-spot” training and Tailgate Meetings
  • Orients employees to the safety practices required by the Company and on the project
  • Other related duties and projects as assigned
What You’ll Bring
  • Prior heavy construction experience preferred
  • 1-5 years of safety-related experience
  • Preferred Certificates—Occupational Safety, Osha500, First Aid, and CPR
  • Knowledge of and ability to enforce all federal, state, local, and Company safety regulations/requirements
  • Ability to recognize hazardous situations and implement corrective measures
  • Knowledge of: PPE, Fall Protection, Confined Space, Scaffolding, Crane/Rigging, Hazardous Communication, Equipment Safety, Incident Investigation, Traffic Control, OQ Training
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Ability to work extended hours and weekends when necessary for business needs
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
What You’ll Get
  • ay- $ 100,000 - $ 138,000 /Annually *Depending on Experience
