Job summary

Sheakley Workforce Staffing seeks a Construction Safety Manager for a Fayetteville, GA project. This 2-week, 1099 contractor role focuses on hands-on safety oversight for dock equipment and overhead door installations within a data center environment.

You will work closely with craft personnel, subcontractors, and project leadership to identify hazards, ensure OSHA compliance, and support safe execution of critical construction activities.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30 certification required.
• 5+ years of construction safety experience.
• OSHA 500 certification preferred.
• Data center construction safety experience.
• Material handling equipment installation experience.
• Industrial or commercial construction safety experience and BCSP credentials.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily field safety oversight for dock equipment and overhead door installation activities.
• Maintain a highly visible presence in active work areas.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, observations, and hazard assessments.
• Monitor equipment installation, material handling operations, and elevated work activities.
• Review JHAs, AHAs, permits and pre-task plans.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and project safety requirements.
• Coordinate safety activities with project management, supervision, and subcontractors.
• Participate in incident investigations and corrective actions.
