Job summary

Heavy Civil Construction Company is seeking an experienced Field Safety Coordinator to support safety across active jobsites in Texas. This hands-on role focuses on inspections, training, incident prevention, and ongoing safety program improvement, partnering with project managers, superintendents, and field staff.

You will lead safety orientations, toolbox talks, maintain records, monitor OSHA compliance, and help implement site-specific safety plans. Travel to several projects may be required.

Qualifications

• Previous construction safety experience required; heavy civil construction experience strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards.
• OSHA 30 certification required; additional safety certifications preferred.
• Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel to project sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Monitor compliance with company safety policies and OSHA regulations
• Assist with development and implementation of site‑specific safety plans

• Monitor subcontractor safety compliance when applicable
• Assist with workers’ compensation reporting and return‑to‑work coordination
• Stay current with industry safety standards and regulatory requirements

This position plays a critical role in supporting and promoting a strong safety culture across multiple construction projects and field operations. Position Summary
