Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an on‑site Field Inspector to support highway construction projects across multiple locations. You will conduct inspections, review daily reports, and ensure compliance with project specifications under supervision.

Qualifications

• English language proficiency required (written & verbal).
• Basic arithmetic and measurement skills.
• MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specs.

Responsibilities

• Inspect traffic control, environmental controls, layout, and materials for highway projects under supervision.
• Review contractor daily reports and QC procedures; verify conformance with QC Plan.
• Review testing results and measure quantities; may perform sampling and in‑place testing of soils, bases, concrete, and asphalt.
