Job summary

Briggs Equipment in Louisiana is seeking a Road Technician to service and repair material handling and aerial equipment at customer sites. You will diagnose, rebuild, and maintain multiple systems, follow safety guidelines, and participate in ongoing training.

The role requires 3+ years of repair experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work 24/7 on-call with 100% travel to customer sites. Sign-on bonuses are offered for this position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Trade school certificate preferred.
• 3+ years’ experience in forklift repair or related industry.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair equipment including engines, hydraulics, brakes, and electrical systems.
• Rebuild components and systems for material handling and aerial equipment.
• Block, chock and chain equipment per safety guidelines; assist with major repairs.
• Perform routine maintenance to ensure manufacturer specifications.
• Troubleshoot faults and perform failure analysis on all systems.
• Inspect equipment for safety concerns and potential problems.
• Conduct basic welding as needed.
• Record maintenance and repair work and complete paperwork promptly.
• Attend basic and advanced technical training as assigned.
• Maintain parts and supplies for job completion.
• Keep company vehicle clean and in safe operating condition; complete checklists.
• Participate in safety meetings and uphold a safety culture.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
