Job summary

The research assistant will support the Principal Investigator and a team of researchers in rocky intertidal monitoring projects at Cal Poly Pomona. This as-needed, 0-25 hour per week, non-benefited position is designed for graduate students in the Smith lab to gain hands-on field and data experience under supervision.

Primary duties include field observations from Los Angeles to San Diego, data entry, data quality checks, analysis, report writing, and logistical support.

Qualifications

• Must be a current or upcoming graduate student in PI's lab.
• Must be physically able to access rocky intertidal locations.
• Experience with field data collection and reporting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in all aspects of rocky intertidal monitoring.
• Conduct field research along California coast.
• Perform data entry, data quality checks, and data management.
• Write reports and support logistics.
