Job summary

Medartis is seeking a Field Reimbursement Manager (FRM) to lead coverage, coding, billing, and payment strategies for our medical device portfolio. You will educate providers, support prior authorizations, and help remove access barriers to ensure appropriate utilization.

The role collaborates with Sales, Market Access, and hospital customers, travels up to 25%, and requires a Bachelor's degree with 5–7+ years of reimbursement experience, CPT/HCPCS/ICD-10-CM knowledge, and CPC/CCS certification.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required with healthcare focus preferred.
  • 5–7+ years in reimbursement, revenue cycle, coding, or payer experience.
  • Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and commercial payer processes.
  • Understanding CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM coding (Cat III codes helpful).
  • Strong presentation and communication skills; travel up to 25%.
  • CPC, CCS or similar certification; experience with medical devices.

  • Support prior authorization, appeals, and denial resolution processes.
  • Identify reimbursement barriers and develop strategic action plans.
  • Conduct on-site and virtual training for physicians and billing staff.
  • Partner with Sales Representatives and Regional Managers.
  • Communicate payer trends and market feedback internally.
  • Maintain knowledge of CMS and commercial payer policies.
  • Ensure all activities comply with healthcare standards.

The Field Reimbursement Manager (FRM) serves as the subject matter expert on coverage, coding, billing, and payment processes for the company's medical device portfolio. This role partners closely with Sales, Market Access, Providers, and Revenue Cycle stakeholders to facilitate appropriate reimbursement, remove access barriers, and support product utilization through compliant communication.

Your Responsibilities

Your Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required (Healthcare Administration, Business, Life Sciences, or related field preferred)
  • 5–7+ years of reimbursement, revenue cycle, coding, or payer experience
  • Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer processes
  • Understanding of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD ‑ 10-CM coding (preferred: direct experience with Cat III CPT codes and transitional passthrough payment)
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
  • CPC, CCS, or similar certification
  • Experience supporting procedural or implantable medical devices
  • Experience working directly with providers or hospital systems
