Qualifications

• Proven ability to organize field activities and manage territory priorities.
• Knowledge of specialty pharmaceuticals or oncology settings is beneficial.
• Bachelor’s degree in health-related, business, or equivalent field, or comparable relevant experience.

Role Description

The Field Reimbursement Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in the Miami–Fort Lauderdale Area. In this position, the individual supports healthcare providers and their staff with patient access and reimbursement processes for specialty therapies, including benefits verification, prior authorizations, appeals, and claim resolution. The role involves regular visits to provider offices, delivering education on payer policies and reimbursement procedures, and serving as a subject matter resource on access programs and support services. The Field Reimbursement Manager partners closely with internal McKesson teams and external stakeholders to identify reimbursement barriers, recommend solutions, and track access issues and trends. This role also requires maintaining detailed documentation of field activities, adhering to compliance guidelines, and providing clear feedback to support continuous improvement in patient access initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare reimbursement or patient access, including benefits verification, prior authorization, and claims or appeals support.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills to work effectively with providers, office staff, payers, and internal teams.
• Ability to interpret payer policies and coverage criteria, and to explain complex reimbursement concepts in clear, practical terms.
• Proficiency in organizing field activities, managing territory priorities, and documenting interactions and outcomes accurately.
• Knowledge of specialty pharmaceuticals, oncology or other specialty care settings, and healthcare compliance standards is highly beneficial.
• Bachelor’s degree in a health-related, business, or equivalent field, or comparable relevant experience.
• Comfort with frequent on-site visits in the Miami–Fort Lauderdale Area and willingness to travel within the territory as needed.
