Job summary

Syneos Health is seeking a Field Reimbursement Manager to minimize reimbursement barriers and improve patient access across a defined Boston area. You will navigate internal stakeholders, sales teams, HUB and payer channels to streamline coverage and coding education.

This hybrid role requires a BS/BA, 5+ years in pharma/biotech/device sales, and knowledge of Buy & Bill, HUBs, and payer structures. Base salary ranges $170k–$180k with potential car allowance and bonus.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree required.
  • 5+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech/device sales experience.
  • Strong preference for Buy & Bill and Specialty Pharmacy experience.
  • Previous rare disease experience preferred.
  • Proven knowledge of HUBs, billing, coding and appeals.
  • Knowledge of private payer (MCO), Medicare, and Medicaid structures, systems, methodology, and reimbursement policies and processes.
  • Ability to lead multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a Hybrid environment.
  • Valid driver's license and the ability to travel, including overnights and/or weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Establish access services understanding, including patient-specific coverage and site of care options.
  • Identify potential site of care locations and onboard sites for ongoing account management.
  • Ensure optimal patient access and effective account- and patient-level pull-through.
  • Monitor patient compliance and adherence to treatment.
  • Educate physician offices on coverage and coding of products in collaboration with Regional Directors and Medical Specialists.
  • Lead daily case update meetings with HUB and communicate status to field partners.
  • Support sales partners via distribution of reimbursement materials to physician offices and HUB partners.
  • Demonstrate territory planning and time management across the geographic area.

Description

The Field Reimbursement Manager (FRM) provides best-in-class support to minimize reimbursement and process approval barriers resulting in a better overall patient journey and access to needed therapy. The FRM position requires the ability to successfully navigate across multiple internal stakeholders, sales teams, Payer teams, HUB, etc.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to;
  • Establishing HCP/office, understanding of access services/support, including patient-specific coverage, channel acquisition, and site of care options including infusion centers
  • Supporting the identification of potential site of care locations for patient treatment, on-boarding of site and ongoing site account management
  • Ensuring optimal patient access, effective account- and patient-level pull-through
  • On-going monitoring for patient compliance and adherence to treatment
  • Develop an encouraging and collaborative relationship with colleagues (Regional Directors and Medical Specialists) to educate physician offices in coverage, coding of products
  • Daily case update meetings with HUB and communication of the case status to field partners
  • Provide support to sales partners via distribution of reimbursement materials and assistance to physician offices, infusion centers and HUB program partners
  • Demonstrate territory planning and time management skills by efficient covering of the specific geographical area of responsibility
Requirements
  • BS/BA Degree required
  • 5+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech/device sales experience
  • Strong preference for Buy & Bill and Specialty Pharmacy experience
  • Previous rare disease experience preferred
  • Proven experience with Hubs, in-depth knowledge on issues related to billing, coding, appeals across physician types
  • Knowledge of private payer (MCO), Medicare, and Medicaid structures, systems, methodology, and reimbursement policies and processes. Proven ability to lead multiple projects and excellent ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
  • Must possess excellent organizational, project management, and communication skills. This includes demonstrating an understanding of how to call out issues/concerns, and effectively communicate with others, especially those in other functional areas
  • Ability to work in a Hybrid environment.
  • Valid driver's license and the ability to travel, including overnights and/or weekends

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $170,000 to $180,000. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions may include a company car or car allowance and eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance.
