Job summary

Interstates is seeking an Apprentice Electrician to join our team in the Sioux Falls, SD area. The role supports journeyman electricians on industrial projects, with travel within the region and a requirement to enroll in an Electrical Technology AS program.

Per diems and mileage stipends may apply, and safety is a core focus. The position involves on-site work, varying start times, and potential weekend duties as projects require.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be enrolled in an Electrical Technology AS program.
• Strong safety awareness and willingness to learn on a construction site.
• Ability to follow directions and work with a team.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, and bend conduit using a tape measure and tools.
• Operate power tools such as drills and saws.
• Install conductors in race way and cable tray.
• Assist in lifting, positioning, and fastening wiring and motors.
• Perform minor repairs like replacing fuses and switches.
• Disassemble defective electrical equipment with tools.
• Provide materials and support to Journeyman and Foreman Electricians.
• Work at heights and in confined spaces; maintain safety.
