Job summary

Mass. Electric Construction Co. (MEC) seeks a Quality Intern to coordinate inspections, document QA/QC activities, and support project teams on field or shop sites. You will witness tests, prepare reports, and ensure documentation meets contract and code requirements.

Travel and relocation are expected as work moves across North America. The role is based in a MEC district with a strong safety focus. The internship is with MEC Transportation District under the Quality department, offering

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree related to construction management or engineering.
• Familiarity with construction-related quality control procedures preferred.
• Certifications such as ASQ, CQM, CQA, or CWI are a plus.
• Willingness to relocate and travel as needed.
• Commitment to safety and quality control standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate inspections and tests to align with project schedules and goals.
• Witness and document quality control activities and tests.
• Address client concerns with transparent quality communication.
• Develop work packs with required inspections and documentation.
• Review work packs and ensure readiness before meetings.
• Manage source and receiving inspections for materials and equipment.
• Evaluate supplier quality documentation for contract compliance.
