Job summary

Mullins Mechanical in Canton, MS is seeking a Quality Inspector/Technician to support construction projects outdoors under varied weather. You will read weld maps, enter data, and help with pressure tests, inspections, and documentation.

The role requires 4+ years of QA/QC experience, AWS CWI or equivalent, NDT knowledge, and proficiency with Procore, Excel, and drawing interpretation. Travel and climbing stairs may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years QA/QC experience in construction.
• Current AWS CWI, ASNT VT II, or API 510/570 certification.
• Strong knowledge of welding and inspection standards.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Create, interpret, and understand Weld Map Isometric drawings using computer software programs
• Enter welding and inspection information into the tracking tool
• Assist with pressure testing plans and functions
• Assemble project documentation packages
• Perform and document inspections based on drawings, specifications, and procedures to determine compliance
• Test welders and perform weld inspections under various codes
• Follow Project Quality Assurance Plans
• Follow Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs)
• Assist Site Quality Manager with various daily activities as assigned
• Maintain commitment to Mullins core values and safety policies
