Job summary

Napakiak Environmental and Construction (NEC) seeks a Quality Control Inspector for field inspections of mechanical and piping components. The role ensures conformance to codes, standards, and project requirements, with documentation of findings and disposition of non-conformances.

The candidate must meet federal background and security clearance requirements, and possess strong knowledge of inspection planning, sampling, and regulatory standards relevant to Federal and commercial projects.

Qualifications

• High school or GED diploma with 3 years related inspection or testing experience.
• Associate's degree plus 1 year related experience in inspection or testing activities.
• Bachelor's degree plus 6 months related experience in inspection or testing activities.

Responsibilities

• Possesses and applies a comprehensive body of knowledge to timely and high-quality completion of assigned tasks.
• Perform in-field inspections at various project locations by examining equipment and material for required characteristics.
• Document inspections using the Inspection Report Template.
• Report programmatic deficiencies as Conditions Adverse to Quality (CAQ).
• Be familiar with the scope and limitations of each discipline for which the individual is certified.
• Interpret and evaluate results with respect to applicable codes, standards, drawings, and specifications.
