Southern California Edison (SCE) is hiring a Quality Control / Inspection Specialist to support the Planning phase of work orders. You will conduct on-site inspections of residential tract and developer substructures, maintain records, review reports, and ensure compliance with Edison standards and safety practices.

The role requires up to 75% travel within the SCE service territory, a hybrid work mode, and the ability to coordinate with internal teams and external contractors.

Qualifications

• Three years of quality control/inspection experience.
• Valid Class C driver’s license.
• Proficient with MS Windows, Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Ability to read blueprints and electrical diagrams.
• Familiarity with GO95/GO128 and electric distribution standards.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Perform on-site inspections of residential tract and developer substructure installations and maintain inspection records.
• Review inspector reports and ensure timely, efficient inspection activities without compromising customer satisfaction.
• Measure and record Edison facility locations, create as-built drawings, and communicate construction/inspection status.
• Verify materials meet specifications, codes, standards, and Edison requirements.
• Monitor contractor crews for safe, productive, quality work; interface with internal/external stakeholders.
• Lead preconstruction meetings and coordinate changes with internal/external customers.
• Ensure warranty corrections are completed and uphold safety and quality standards.
• Foster a safety-conscious environment and promote Edison safety protocols.
• Review/authorize/track work scopes and scope changes at field level.
• Coordinate project changes per design and department policy with stakeholders.
• Protect assets and handle sensitive information with integrity.
