Dynamic Map Platform North America, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Field QC Technician I for a temporary 4-6 month full-time assignment in Livonia, Michigan.

The role works under supervision to support data quality control workflows across GPS/IMU, LiDAR, and base station data. Responsibilities include processing assignments, analyzing trajectory and point cloud data for consistency, tracking data flow from field to production, and identifying/correcting anomalies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in GIS or equivalent.
• General computer literacy and competency (file types, computer networks, Microsoft Excel, etc.).
• Knowledge of GIS, GPS, LiDAR: Mapping Projections & Datums, GPS Post-Processing, LAS files.
• Demonstrated ability to apply analytical methods and sound judgment to solve problems.
• Math and statistical analysis.
• Familiar with Python and batch processing.
• Experience with SQL and relational database principles.
• Oral and written communications skills for GIS products.

Responsibilities

Position Summary

TEMPORARY CONTRACT POSITION - Full-Time (4-6 months)

This position is not eligible for current or future visa sponsorship.

The Field QC Technician I is an entry‑level position within the Field QC team. This role works under close supervision and direction to support data quality control workflows and production activities. The Technician assists with identifying and resolving data issues and helps ensure the timely progression of field‑collected data into production environments. The position focuses on learning and applying established quality standards and processes while developing foundational technical skills and an understanding of field data quality requirements.

Work Environment

• Works in a fast paced office environment with multiple priorities and competing demands; potential set-backs in project completion due to internal or external issues, resourcing and re-allocation.
• Regular office hours with some requirements for additional work during busy times.
• May work for long periods reviewing data on computer.
