Job summary

Axis Energy Services is seeking a Pump Operator to join the rig crew in Kilgore, TX. You will operate pumps ranging from 440 hp to 1,500 hp, rig up/down equipment, and perform routine maintenance at shop, yard, and customer sites.

The role requires at least a high school diploma, a valid Class A CDL, and the ability to pass pre-employment screenings. Candidates should be prepared for a 12‑hour shift with approximately 70% travel on a 14/7 rotation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or technical training preferred.
• Minimum of one year of pump-down, reverse-unit, or related oilfield service experience.
• Class A CDL required; Hazmat and Tanker endorsements may be required.
• Ability to perform basic maintenance on engines, pumps, and related equipment.
• Experience operating high-horsepower pumping equipment safely and professionally.
• Experience with pumping equipment systems such as Dragon, Rolligan, Lime, or similar.
• Basic computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel) for communication and data entry.
• Reliable transportation to report to assigned locations and flexible schedule.
• Ability to stand/walk, lift up to 50 lbs, and work long shifts.
• English literacy to follow instructions.
• Successful completion of pre-employment screens including drug test and background.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, operate, and maintain pumps, reverse units, and pumping equipment.
• Check fluid levels, replace filters, and support preventive maintenance.
• Rig up and rig down pump components safely and efficiently.
• Operate high-hp pumps and related equipment per company standards.
• Move, load, secure, and stage equipment at sites.
• Participate in safety meetings and training; report unsafe conditions.
• Maintain tools and workspace and ensure PPE compliance.
• Communicate clearly with crew, supervisors, and customers.
