Overview

Allstate is hiring a Field Property Contents Adjuster to work remotely. You will travel to customers’ homes and handle claims virtually.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customers’ homes to investigate claims and conduct a thorough coverage investigation.
• Use advanced video technology to collaborate with onsite vendors, inspect damages, and create contents damage estimates.
• Communicate empathically with customers, guiding them through a fast, fair and easy claims process.
• Negotiate settlements in accordance with business unit standards.
• Coordinate with structure adjusters to ensure holistic claim handling.
• Use data and analytics to drive decision making.
• Document all work accurately in the claims system and preserve financial protection for the company.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience using estimating software such as Xactimate for complex contents estimation.
• Experience handling property insurance claims.
• Strong customer service orientation and an ability to work independently from home.
• Ability to view challenges as opportunities for improvement and to propose creative solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized and able to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.

Required Qualifications

• Must reside in the Yuma, AZ or San Diego, CA area.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to obtain an adjuster and/or appraiser license within 60 days of hire if required by the local authority.

Location & Licensing

Remote position (work from home) with travel to customers as needed. A company car may be provided based on mileage guidelines; personal vehicle usage is reimbursed.

Compensation

Base salary: $68,000 – $109,449 annually (based on experience and qualifications). Total compensation includes base pay plus incentive/commission opportunities.
