Job summary

MK Consulting Group is seeking a Structural Steel Field Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and completion of structural steel projects on site, ensuring they stay on schedule and within budget.

You will coordinate with clients, engineers, fabricators, and field teams; review shop and erection drawings; manage contracts and change orders; and enforce safety and quality control to deliver successful, compliant projects.

Responsibilities

• Project planning and management: Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources from start to finish.
• Document and contract management: Manage contracts, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and purchase orders for subcontractors and suppliers.
• Drawing and fabrication oversight: Review shop drawings and erection plans to ensure they meet project requirements and enable smooth fabrication.
• Safety and quality assurance: Implement and enforce safety plans and procedures on the job site and manage quality control processes.
• Problem-solving: Identify and resolve project challenges and issues as they arise.
• Financial oversight: Monitor job costs, manage billing and invoicing, and ensure timely payments.
• Team leadership: Mentor project staff and foster a positive team environment.
