Job summary

BC Construction Group is seeking a Project Engineer to support commercial, industrial, warehouse, and mission critical construction projects in Tuscaloosa, AL. This field-based role will travel to the Michigan office for training and site visits, with an initial on-site focus and a later hybrid arrangement as projects wind down.

You will work closely with the Project Manager and field team to maintain documentation, schedules, and cost tracking, while communicating with owners, designers,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Commercial or industrial construction experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills required.
• Ability to read construction drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Support RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and document control.
• Coordinate drawing management with designers and subcontractors.
• Track procurement status and materials.
• Assist with meeting prep, agendas, minutes, and follow-up.
• Maintain project schedules, milestones, and cost tracking.
• Facilitate owner, architect, engineer, and subcontractor communication.
• Coordinate with Superintendents and field teams; assist in closeout.
