Job summary

Baker Concrete Construction, Inc. is hiring a Project Engineer in Idaho Falls to support field activities and assist the Project Manager with project administration across multiple small projects, or one medium to large project.

You will help manage cost, schedule, quality, safety, procurement, and regulatory compliance. Focus areas include preparing budgets, billing, change orders, RFI handling, and coordination with safety and field teams to ensure smooth project turnover.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and 2 years’ of experience or 6 years’ of construction related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Responsibilities

• Generates and obtains approvals of monthly billing and earned values
• Develops and manages the project schedule on small or mid-sized projects
• Analyzes targets and goals, job cost summaries, and other reports
• Alerts the Superintendent and Project Manager of project impact relating to resource management, crew makeup/size, etc.
• Generates estimates of change orders and may interface with pre-construction on original bids
• Collaborates with pre-construction and the project team to manage the job transition process, communicate project requirements, and develop the initial procurement plans, budgets, etc.
