Job summary

Baker Concrete Construction, Inc. is seeking a Field Project Engineer to support field activities and work with craft workers on project layouts, resource planning, yard management, costs, logs, and look-ahead schedules.

This role emphasizes safe, productive performance and collaboration across teams. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s Degree or 4 years of construction experience, with the ability to operate across diverse teams and manage site challenges.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or 4 years of construction related experience and/or training is required.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to project productivity and supports field operations.
• Supports Superintendent on construction of project and project engineering activities.
• Supports QA/QC and safety initiatives on site.
• Ensures a safe work environment and participates in site training/certifications.

Summary

The Field Project Engineer supports field activities and spends a majority of time working with the craft workers. Activities include support of layout, daily resource requirements, lay-down yard management, daily costs, time and quantities, logs, and daily and weekly look-ahead schedules, etc.

Roles and Responsibilities

The Field Project Engineer will possess competency in the following areas in other to perform his/her role in a safe, productive, and effective manner. Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university; or 4 years of construction related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
