Biogensys in Trenton, NJ seeks a Field Program Compliance Supervisor to oversee rabies vaccine distribution for free clinics and to inspect veterinary facilities across New Jersey. The role blends field and office duties, requiring coordination with public health and veterinary professionals.

You will engage in regulatory reviews, training local officials, and providing technical guidance on compliance. Travel across NJ is involved, with mileage reimbursement for inspections and trainings.

Qualifications

• Experience at a local health department.
• Review regulations and inspect licensed animal facilities to ensure compliance.
• Experience in animal settings such as shelters or veterinary offices preferred.
• Strong communication with veterinary and public health professionals and the public.
• Knowledge of reviewing regulations to determine facility compliance.
• Proficiency with Teams, SharePoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, Access and related systems.

Responsibilities

• Procure and distribute rabies vaccines for free clinics across NJ.
• Inspect kennels, pet shops, shelters, pounds statewide and train local health officials.
• Provide technical consultations to local health departments on complaints about licensed facilities.
• Assist Office of Veterinary Public Health with follow-up or enforcement where facilities are not compliant.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Field Program Compliance Supervisor for one of our clients in Trenton, NJ.

Job Description

• Assisting the principal rabies control technician in procurement and distribution of rabies vaccines for free rabies vaccine clinics for cats and dogs held by municipalities across New Jersey.
• Inspecting kennels, pet shops, shelters, and pounds across New Jersey and training local health officials in inspection of these licensed animal facilities.
• Providing technical consultations with local health departments on follow up of complaints related to licensed animal facilities.
• Assisting staff within the Office of Veterinary Public Health on necessary follow up or enforcement when licensed animal facilities are not in compliance with state regulations
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills Required

• Previous experience working at a local health department
• Work that involved reviewing regulations, inspecting licensed animal facilities or other operations to ensure compliance
• previous work in an animal setting such as an animal shelter or veterinary office preferred
• The ideal candidate will have communication skills, with an ability to speak with veterinary and public health professionals in addition to the public
• The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience in reviewing regulations and determining if a facility meets requirements,
• Teams, SharePoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, Access databases, and internal systems

Hours Required

• 35 hours per week, lunch: 1 hour unpaid

Additional Information

• Both office and field work - the individual will need to use their personal car for field work.
• Mileage and tolls for inspections and trainings across NJ will be reimbursed.
