HITACHI HIGH-TECH AMERICA, INC. seeks a Field Process Engineer I to support our Semiconductor Equipment Division at the customer site in Scottsdale, AZ.

The role requires ~80% travel to customer sites and hands-on RIE/dry etch process work, with responsibilities spanning troubleshooting, DOE-driven experiments, and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate has a BS in a semiconductor-related field and experience or training in plasma etch/RIE, data analysis, and Excel; travel to Asia

Qualifications

• BS degree in a relevant engineering field or equivalent experience.
• Experience with plasma etch processes or semiconductor processing preferred.
• Proficient in data analysis and Excel; travel to field offices may be required.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-Day responsibilities include completing assigned tasks in a timely fashion, developing good customer relations through calls and emails, troubleshooting customer process issues, and driving projects to closure.
• Perform hands-on RIE/dry etch process troubleshooting and development at the customer site, R&D of new dry etch trends, and meeting customer requirements for current and future technology processes.
• Utilize analytical tools and techniques to solve process issues and design experiments including DOE.
• Work with data analysis, coding, and reporting to support process optimization.
• Operate Hitachi plasma etch systems and associated metrology equipment after training.
• Generate internal and external documentation for products, presentations, and process specifications.
• Interface with customers regarding results, training, and troubleshooting of process issues.
