Job summary

Peterson Cat has an immediate need for an experienced Power Generation Technician at our Santa Rosa, CA location. This role performs repairs to Marine Engines and Engine Power Generation equipment in the field as customer needs dictate.

The ideal candidate holds an Associates Degree in Diesel Technology or related field and at least 5 years of power generation or engine service experience; travel, on-call duties, and safety training are part of the job, with opportunities for professional growth

Qualifications

Associates Degree in Diesel Technology or related field with at least 5 years of power generation or engine service experience.
Equivalent combination of education and work experience may be accepted.

Responsibilities

Maintain a safe working environment and observe all safety procedures, laws, policies, and rules.
Communicate with internal and external customers to promote a positive relationship.
Travel to meet customer service requirements including overnight stays and overseas travel.
Be on call to respond to customer service needs during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Inspect equipment as needed and participate in scheduled trainings (technical/safety).
Perform service operations with supervision and follow manufacturer guidelines.
