Job summary

Cleveland Brothers, the leading Cat dealer in Pennsylvania and surrounding regions, seeks an Industrial Engine Field Technician to service electric power generation systems and industrial engines for customers including oil and gas sectors. The role involves diagnosing, repairing, and starting up diesel and natural gas engines and generator sets, with after-hours work as needed.

You will travel to job sites and work in diverse environments, using knowledge of switchgear, controls, and safety

Qualifications

• When field electrical power generation or industrial engine work is available, the Mechanic will be dispatched to perform that work.
• The successful candidate will pass a driver's physical and have a valid commercial driver’s license.
• Graduate of a technical or military school or relevant experience acceptable to the company.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair prime power and stand-by electrical power installations in multiple/parallel operation.
• Understand and work with automatic start/stop controls, safety shut-downs, switch gear, circuit breakers, and control panel wiring.
• Diagnose, repair, rebuild, and maintain diesel, gas, and marine engines.
• Service generators and component parts in various environments.
• Safely assemble/disassemble equipment per manufacturer specifications.
• Repair and maintain temperature control and air compression equipment.
• Accurately complete service reports and update work orders.
• Meet DOT physical and licensing requirements; work overtime as needed.
