Job summary

Kinder Morgan, Inc. is seeking a Pipeline Technician (Line Patroller) to support and protect critical natural gas infrastructure in the Thomasville, GA area. This field-based role combines pipeline operations, utility locating, and safety responsibilities in a primarily Monday–Friday schedule with some on-call duties.

Extensive local travel is required. Training is provided, and the company offers a strong benefits package, retirement plans, paid time off, and opportunities for advancement

Qualifications

• Experience in pipeline maintenance or excavation preferred.
• Extensive experience writing reports, log entries, journaling and record-keeping is beneficial and desired.
• Knowledge of compressor stations and transmission pipeline systems preferred.
• Knowledge and experience in safe handling practices of flammable gases high and low pressure systems.
• Knowledge and experience of valve operating systems.
• Use of company-issued devices (camera, phone, GPS, range finder) required.

Responsibilities

• Locate and mark facilities per Damage Prevention Program and One-Call procedures.
• Document all work activities in writing.
• Work and drive safely.
• Perform record keeping and data entry per policies.
• Conduct pipeline patrols, surveys, leak detection, and inspections per procedures.
• Coordinate local Damage Prevention activities.
• Oversee excavation activities and ensure compliance with procedures.
