Job summary

Arbor Diagnostics is seeking a Phlebotomist to provide field coverage for all In-Office Phlebotomists and Patient Service Centers in assigned areas, including Houston. You will collect samples from pediatric through geriatric patients, ensure specimen integrity by following laboratory procedures for collection, handling, and processing, and enter patient data into an electronic lab information system.

Hours Monday through Thursday 9:00 am to 6:00 pm; Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with approximately

Responsibilities

• Follows laboratory procedures for specimen collection and handling.
• Retrieves blood from patients while providing excellent customer service.
• Enters patient data accurately into an electronic lab information system or manually.
• Identifies patient data and accurately labels specimens.
• Packs and prepares samples for specimen shipment and/or transport.
• Communicates efficiently and timely with leadership to address and report all issues observed in the field.
• Has availability for approximately 10% travel.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
