Job summary

The City of St. Robert seeks a Police Officer to join the Police Department. You will perform crime prevention, traffic enforcement, patrol duties, and respond to emergencies while upholding public safety and community trust.

This full-time position requires a Missouri driver’s license, POST certification eligibility, and the ability to work day, evening, and night shifts in all weather conditions. Excellent teamwork and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid Missouri driver’s license is required.
• Must be Missouri POST certifiable (graduate from certified police academy or equivalent).
• High school diploma or equivalent; two-year degree/certificate or work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs rescue functions at accidents and emergencies, directs traffic and administers aid as needed.
• Prepares investigative reports and sketches using proper grammar and math.
• Operates patrol vehicles day and night, including in emergency conditions and poor weather.
• Performs searches of people, vehicles, buildings, and large outdoor areas.
• Arrests and detains suspects with appropriate use of force as necessary.
• Engages in rotating shifts, foot patrols, and security checks of buildings.
• Maintains communications and coordination with supervisors and court procedures.
