Job summary

Howard Energy Partners is looking for a Field Operator I to manage pipeline operation and maintenance, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. The role involves monitoring compressors, pipelines, dehydration equipment, and related field systems.

The incumbent will perform startups/shutdowns, analyze gas flow, conduct preventive maintenance, and document production metrics while collaborating with supervisors, maintenance teams, and contractors.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • At least 1 year of experience operating pipelines or processing plants preferred.
  • Certifications are not required.

Responsibilities

  • Starts up, shuts down, and operates compressor stations in accordance with established operating procedures.
  • Maintains and monitors compressors, pipelines, dehydration equipment, electric motors, fans, pumps, instrumentation, valves, alarms, and other field equipment.
  • Analyzes gas flow streams and adjusts operating parameters as needed to ensure product quality and compliance with specifications.
  • Performs preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on gas gathering and compression equipment, including compressors, engines, pumps, controls, piping, and valves.
  • Prepares and maintains daily production reports, documenting liquid production, gas volumes, operational downtime, and other key performance metrics.
  • Maintains effective communication with supervisors, operations personnel, maintenance teams, contractors, and other stakeholders regarding ongoing projects and daily operational activities.
  • Monitors, maintains, and operates safety, environmental, and fire protection systems to ensure regulatory compliance and safe operations.
  • Performs routine housekeeping and maintains a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
